I sometimes hear people say,’I've been there and back’. They must really know something that is worth sharing. Never really took anyone serious when they said that though. Now I’m looking behind the words and realise that those are the people who are worth talking to. The’ve walked down that road and didn’t like what they saw, so they came back. I’ve learnt so many things the hard way. When I was growing up I thought I knew everything there was to know about life. I didn’t want to take advice from my parents. I thought they were being spiteful and not wanting me to have any fun when they were warning me about certain things. Now I look back and I wish I had listened more closely and paid full attention.
